Missions

Serve meals at Rescue Mission, 1st Thursday of each month.  This is not difficult.  Arrive at 5 p.m., help serve meals, help wipe down tables and chairs, done by 7 p.m.  The folks at the Rescue Mission are great, and the tasks are easy.

See the full list of requested donations.  You can print this to keep handy when you find sales.

To make a monetary donation to Missions, simply put your donation in the basket on the table in the foyer or ear-mark your donation "Missions" when you put it in the offering plate.

A Mission Trip is being planned for this summer, cooperatively with UUMC.  Contact Bruce L if you would like to be part of this exciting experience!

Christmas in April will be April 26 - if you are interested in this team, contact Bruce L or the office.

Sharing Joys and Concerns: write your joys and your concerns in the "Our Prayers" book located in the foyer.  These will be shared during the services.

Sign up to be a Greeter, or to provide Special Music.

Sign up to be on a liturgist or usher team, or on a Coffee Crew.

Be a Sunday School teacher.

Flower Calendar - The 2008 Flower Calendar is now up!  - sign up to provide the flowers for the altar.  The cost is $15, simply mark it for flowers and put it in the offering.  You can choose to list a reason for the flowers, such as a birthday, anniversary, or in honor of someone.  Remember, you do not have to bring flowers, simply pay for them.  Nancy Lord of Lord's Creations brings the flowers each weekend.  Then you get to take the bouquet home after service.  They stay fresh for a week or two.

Thank You to everyone who helps through the year serving at the Rescue Mission, with Christmas in April, with supplies for layette kits and school kits, gifts for those adopted for Christmas, donations to Topeka North Outreach or to Fellowship and Faith Ministry, and in any other way.  You are really special.  Lives are enriched because of you!
